1. Purpose
The Toukley Golf Club Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected of all members, guests, visitors, staff, volunteers, and contractors. The purpose of this Code is to ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone who uses the Club’s facilities.
2. Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all persons while on Club premises, participating in Club activities, competitions, events, or representing Toukley Golf Club in any capacity.
3. General Behaviour
All individuals must:
– Act with integrity, honesty, and sportsmanship at all times
– Treat others with courtesy, dignity, and respect
– Behave in a manner that reflects positively on Toukley Golf Club
– Comply with Club rules, policies, and by-laws
– Follow all directions given by Club officials or staff
4. Respect and Inclusion
Toukley Golf Club is committed to providing an inclusive environment. The following will not be tolerated:
Discrimination, harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
– Offensive, abusive, or threatening language or behaviour
– Behaviour that demeans or marginalises others based on gender, race, age, disability, religion, or any other personal characteristic
5. On-Course Conduct
All golfers must:
– Observe the Rules of Golf and local rules
– Maintain appropriate pace of play
– Show consideration to other players and course staff
– Avoid disruptive or dangerous behaviour
– Repair pitch marks, replace divots, rake bunkers, and care for the course
6. Clubhouse and Facilities
While using Club facilities, individuals must:
– Adhere to dress standards as set by the Club
– Respect Club property and facilities
– Follow responsible service of alcohol requirements
– Not engage in excessive intoxication or disorderly behaviour
7. Safety
All persons must:
– Act in a way that does not endanger themselves or others
– Follow all safety signage and instructions
– Report hazards, incidents, or injuries to Club staff as soon as possible
8. Gambling and Integrity
Members and guests must:
– Conduct themselves honestly in all competitions
– Refrain from cheating, manipulation of handicaps, or unethical conduct
– Comply with Golf Australia and Club competition rules
9. Social Media and Public Representation
When representing or referring to Toukley Golf Club:
– Communications must be respectful and accurate
– No content should be posted that could harm the reputation of the Club
– Confidential Club matters must not be disclosed without authorisation
10. Breaches of the Code
Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, which may include:
– Verbal or written warnings
– Suspension of playing or membership rights
– Termination of membership
– Removal from Club premises
– Disciplinary action will be managed in accordance with the Club’s Constitution, By-Laws, and relevant policies.
11. Responsibility
All members and visitors share responsibility for upholding this Code of Conduct and are encouraged to report unacceptable behaviour to Club management or the Board.
