Wow what a fantastic day, from early in the morning there was an awesome atmosphere that just kept gaining momentum as the day went on.
Toukley golf club would like to say a huge thank you to all our sponsors of Our Junior Foundation day, the hard work gone into making it an amazing day to be involved in, all the way from staff in the bar keeping you refreshed, the office staff for the preparation in the lead up to the day, Tristan and his team at The Fairway for their tasty function platters, Russell and the greens staff for making our course such an amazing 18 holes to play on, John and the boys in the pro shop for organising all the fun out on the course on Saturday.
A massive thank you to Andrew and Cindy Cranston for the many hours all the hard work and all their volunteers and helpers who help to make this such a successful event each year.
This year we set a record with more money raised than ever before with a total of approx $18,000.00
What a fantastic outcome for our juniors and thank you for everyone that donated prizes for our raffle, a special thank you to Andre Ponga for his generous donation of headgear boots and a jersey signed by his son Kalyn Ponga from the Newcastle knights to be auctioned off and all proceeds were donated to the Junior Foundation.
We had lots of fun activities across the course on the day from the young Cadets putting on the 18th and some of our juniors and Pro Shop boys were helping with teeing off on the 1st and 10th hole. The the fun and laughter from the party hole (the 6th) was enjoyed by all and was again a great success.
Then into the clubhouse for some cold drinks and some wonderful food, the Presentation began and the prizes from the day were handed out with lots of cheers and support and then onto the drawing of the raffle with lots of amazing prizes to be won, then our CEO tried his hand at presenting our auction which had some fantastic items on offer to the highest bidders. Taking out 1st and 2nd place at the auction respectively were Sean Davies and Matt Cameron.
Thank you everyone who came and played, and everyone who helped to break our record for donations for our junior foundation.
See you all again next year!!
