The Toukley Junior Golf Program is designed to introduce kids of from the age of 6yrs to the joy of golf, while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game. Our Cadet Stepping Stone pathway guides juniors from their first swings on the range to playing independently on a full course, with each level tailored to develop skills, etiquette, and on-course confidence.
We focus on Junior Golf Values — respect for the course, others, and equipment, and always putting your best effort forward — helping kids grow both as golfers and as young people.
Program Highlights:
Year-Round Flexibility: Spring and summer include on-course play; winter sessions are held on the practice range.
Inclusive and Supportive: Girls-only sessions and support through the AGF Girls Scholarship Program.
Family Engagement: Fun events like the Family Cup, where kids team up with parents or grandparents in a friendly team format.
Pathways to Higher Performance: The Academy Squad trains with our PGA professionals to sharpen skills, with future plans to include TPI-accredited movement and fitness sessions.
Whether your child is picking up a club for the first time or looking to improve their game, our program provides a fun, supportive environment to learn, play, and grow.
There are over 40 Juniors turning up for our Junior Competitions and Classes each week. We also have 10+ Girls participating in the Australian Junior Girls Scholarship Program. We are lucky to have the continued support from our Members and Sponsors to be able run one of the most enjoyable Junior Golf Programs on the Central Coast. Kids Golf Pathway 2025
1) Beginner Classes – Wednesday & Thursday Afternoons at 4pm
The Beginner Class on the practice range gives the kids a basic introduction to Golf where they learn to Drive, Chip and Putt. They have the opportunity to graduate from the Beginner Class and move onto the 4 Hole Ambrose Games by showing the necessary skills, behaviour and attitude.
2) 4 Hole Teams Comp – Monday Afternoons from 3.30pm
This is a great way to introduce the kids to playing on the course. They play Ambrose on a shortened course to enable our coach to offer advice. Parents are encouraged to walk around. They have the opportunity to graduate into the 5 Hole Individual Comp by showing the necessary skills, behaviour and attitude.
3) 3) 5 Hole Individual Comp – Friday Afternoons from 3.45pm
During Spring/Summer we run a 5 Hole Junior Competition. Weekly prizes are on offer with a chance to graduate to 9 Hole Individual Competition with necessary skills, scores and behaviour.
4) 9 Hole Individual Comp – Friday Afternoons from 3.30pm
During Spring/Summer we run a 9 Hole Junior Competition. Weekly prizes are on offer as well as a Cadet Championship event run over 2 days at the end of the season.
TGC Academy
We take some of our Junior Golfing prospects out on the course and practice range to teach course management skills, put them in difficult positions and test their ability to play different shots. We encourage them to be creative and have fun. Our objective is to teach them to think smarter around the course, continue to improve their game and possibly represent the club in Junior Pennant.
Australian Junior Girls Scholarship Program
We currently have 10+ Girls on Scholarship who receive 1 x FREE session of their choosing throughout the week.
The Australian Golf Foundation is the national foundation for Golf in Australia. Private one on one sessions are available via appointment through the Toukley On Course Golf Shop, we have 4 very experienced Professional Golfers that would love to help your child learn and improve.
Juniors on the Move
JOM is an introductory level program aimed at kids aged between 6-14yrs. Tournaments are held monthly across New South Wales and are ideal for kids who have participated in our programs and would like to try competitive Golf.
